The Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated its 92nd Anniversary on October 6, 2024, with an extraordinary aerial display over Marina Beach in Chennai. This significant event, attended by an estimated 1.5 million spectators, marked the first air show in Chennai in over two decades and was characterized by dazzling performances from a variety of aircraft, including 72 fighter jets and helicopters.

The event welcomed numerous dignitaries, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh. Theme: This year’s celebration was themed “Sashakt, Saksham, Atmanirbhar” (Potent, Powerful, Self-reliant), highlighting the IAF’s commitment to national airspace security and India’s self-reliance in defense capabilities.
